WHY DO SOME HOTFIX RHINESTONES LOOK CLOUDY?
Last Updated: 02/05/2019
Sometimes the earlier articles of Swarovski's Hot Fix rhinestones may look cloudy and not shiny. These stones have the gray or gray/green adhesive on them - round rhinestone articles 2000, 2012 & 2028 and some of the rhinestone shapes. This is NOT a problem and does not reflect the quality of the product! Simply heat up your rhinestones, place them on your fabric, and when you're finished with your project and the rhinestones have sat for 24 hours, simply gently wipe them off with a slightly damp cotton cloth. This will remove the film and the rhinestones will sparkle beautifully! The new adhesive on the more recent articles no longer cause the stones to look cloudy.

Another note - make sure the glue is COMPLETELY melted before you place it on your project. Sometimes the glue on these earlier rhinestones can be stubborn. So be patient when working with them.
